Giogi is leading the Melges 32 fleet in Scarlino after 5 races

Saturday in the Act 2 of the Melges 32 World League in Scarlino happened to be windy. Tavatuy of Pavel Kuznetsov, who was in the lead, lost his first position in the overall rankings to Giogi of Matteo Balestrero. During Saturday races with 25 knots wind, Matteo Balestrero found his 'wave' and finished with the result of 2-1 in two races. He is ahead of his rivals by 8 points and now he had the first position in the overall standings.

Pavel Kuznetsov with the results of 7-12 went down to a second position, the third one is Fritz Homann aboard Wilma.

Among Corinthian sailors, Kilian Holzapfel's Homanit Junior is a confident leader. He did not loose his grip after Act 1 in Porto Venere, but his rivals are powerful too. Francesco Graziani's Vitamina is behind him only by 2 points, and Martin Reintjes' Caipirinha is third (55 points overall).

Now the wind is too strong in Scarlino, but we still have hope for races! Last starting signal can be displayed not later than 14.30 local time.
