Italian Giogi wins Act 2 of the Melges 32 World League!

Act 2 of the Melges 32 World League just ended in Scarlino, Italy. Matteo Balestrero on Giogi has the first place, among Corinthian teams Reintjes is the winner!

Matteo Balestrero with tactician Daniele Cassinar so far won both regattas of the season of the Melges 32 World League. After his success in Porto Venere, and now in Scarlino, he can be unquestionably called the leader of the fleet. The team is preparing for the Act 3 on Garda Lake quite seriously and they will protect champion title at all costs.

Russian Tavatuy of Pavel Kuznetsov, who was leading the Melges 32 fleet during first days of the regatta, was fighting for his first place till the very end. He has the overall score of 3-6 in the last day and firmly stands on the second position overall.

G-SPOT of Giangiacomo Serena di Lapigio and tactician Branko Brcin won the last race of the day and therefore rose from 6th position to 3rd overall.

Corinthian teams become amazing with every race. Martin Reintjes and his Caipirinha, with Enrico Fonda as the tactician, came second in all races on the last day of the Melges 32 World League. That allowed him to secure his leading position among Corinthians.

Corinthian runners up are Francesco Graziani’s Vitamina (2nd) and Kilian Holzapfel’s Homanit Junior (3rd).

Next Act of the Melges 32 World League European Division will be held on the Garda Lake from 2nd to 4th of June.
